PARENTING EMOTIONS
Children who do not receive love and attention from their parents when they are young are much more likely to become antisocial when they get older. It's the same with emotions.
From the point of view of this inner capacity, you are the parent of all of your emotions. How do you parent your emotions? Especially the ones that are currently difficult for you. Do you welcome them into your life when they first arrive, like you would a newborn baby? Are you committed to each of them growing up to be healthy and productive members of your inner world? Do you relate to all of your emotions - even difficult ones - with love and care, or do you instead do your best to ignore or even bury them with food, alcohol, excessive work or some other strategy of avoidance?
In our retreats, workshops, and coaching work we create opportunities to learn to bring more alignment between all of the energies and emotions that arise in our beings. Slowly we learn to enjoy surfing - even on the story days and with the difficult waves in our lives.
The outcome of this work is greater ability to achieve and maintain a positive flow state in our daily lives.
